"This is the best ice-cream made in Malaysia, better than Swensen’s or Cold Stone. Founded in 2013 by husband-and-wife duo Edmund Tan and Lim Shiew Li, an investment banker and an actuary to pursue their shared passion for ice cream. To gain the necessary expertise, Lim attended Gelato University in Bologna, Italy, where she learned the science and art of gelato-making. Over the years, Inside Scoop expanded rapidly, and known for its creative local flavors such as cempedak, teh tarik, and salted gula melaka, as well as for its buttermilk waffles and ice cream cakes.  In February 2023, Inside Scoop entered a new chapter when Malaysian dairy company Farm Fresh acquired a 65% stake in the business for US$19 million. Tan and Lim remain actively involved in the day-to-day operations, continuing to lead the brand with the same passion and dedication."

"It was a sweltering afternoon so when I passed by inside scoop I decided to get a triple scoop of cempedak, tiramisu and matcha red bean! All the flavours were distinct and unique in their own way. Will definitely try out the other flavours in the future!"

"The dark chocolate hazelnut waffle was so delicious , and it was as big as a cake . There were also some extraordinary cakes like a one called planet which was basically a light blue moon with a cute smiley ans a hamburger shaped cake too"
